Beat Those Stressors Senseless

Let’s just put this issue to rest the best stress relievers are the ones that involve some physical activity. Feeling stressed like out to the point where you feel like you are going to break well then guess what the best thing you can do is move your butt!

I know must people know this already but it needs to be restated every so often just as a reminder that we all need to blow off some steam once in a while. It has always been my experiince that when the crappy things around me are getting to be too much that best thing I’ve done to combat that overwhelmed feeling was to get up and move.

Some quick and easy things that I have been known to do is stop and remove myself from the situation and take a ten minute walk. May not seem like much but it’s enough time to decompress from the moment and clear your head. Another activity that I recommend if you are really in a pinch is to drop down where ever you are and do push ups until, until when you may ask until you can not do anymore. One long set of as many as I can do really gets the blood flowing and the release of some of that immediate tension.

In terms of doing something as a maintenance on your stress. The best activity that has worked for me has been boxing or kickboxing. Classes like these have been a true god send when it comes to great stress busters. A quick half hour or hour class of punching or kicking a bag fits so perfectly into relieving your mental stress. Especially if you are good at visualizing the issue or person that is giving you the stress in your life. Can hardly put into words the joy my body feels to physically take out my frustrations on those things that have bothered me for that day or week. If you don’t have access to a gym or a class you can find at home boxing/kickboxing bags for less that $100. Well worth the money to get back some sanity in your life. It gets to a point of addiction too where you will look forward to beating the stressors out of that bag. So the next time you are feeling stressed out follow this very simple rule, get off your butt and move!
