Stress is unavoidable, I believe that says it all. Stress is a part of life that we all deal with in different ways it is however those people that seem to handle the stress a bit better than others that seem to gain the most successes in their lives. Have you ever taken the time to really watch someone that seems to handle stress better than you and try and figure out what it is that they do. It can be an interesting study in human behavior if you are willing to pay attention.
So what are some of the things that you may notice? I am going to share some of the things I have seen and then maybe at the end of the this post you can share some of your comments. The first thing I have seen in most of the people I know that handle stress pretty well is that they have learned to delegate a lot of the tasks that say a more controlling person would feel the need to do. You know those people that have to do it all because no one else can do it the “right way”, better known as their way. Share the load people you will be a happier person for it!
Here’s another good one, people who handle stress pretty good tend to stay focused on the main task and don’t let themselves get side tracked by things that may or may not help the your end result. Keep your eyes on the ball basically. The last thing you may notice and this one seems to be a pretty significant one is that people who celebrate their achievements or reaching of a goal. Let’s face it we all work towards goals or achieving a task but how many of us take the time to celebrate those goals being reached once we get there. I think we are all a little guilty of this one. Reaching a goal after working so hard to get there needs to be celebrated no matter how small the celebration. The celebration is the pay off to enduring the hard times and the stress. When you skip out on that you are left with stresses that just continue building up inside you until you have a come apart.
I know I only listed 3 things here bu I think these 3 things are significant to combating stress on a basic level. Most of the times starting with the basics is the best place to start. So please share your opinions and thanks for reading.
